Find Alternate Movement was developed while rehearsing on Zoom throughout the pandemic. Faces of Quarantine explores the emotional state of being isolated while in quarantine. Ithighlights themes from journal entries written by the choreographer while unable to sleep in the wee hours of the night during those early months of 2020. It highlights the interpersonal connection, or lack of it, we encountered while learning a ‘new normal’ of life behind a computer screen. Loops in My Kitchen is about finding a way to escape: though you don’t physically leave your space, you can journey to someplace else inside of your imagination. Caught in endless loops of jarred repetition, we found ourselves leaning into the chaos, excitement, and unpredictability of working with technology–not against it.
