Ballaro Dance is Turning 10 in 2024! Entering a10th Season in NYC, we reflect on the countless ways we continue to reach new audiences, new MOVERS, and new collaborators through each artistic adventure. We are still as passionate as we were a decade ago, but our vision has grown larger than we could have ever imagined: Ballaro Dance continues to redefine how to effectively share dance through sensory-based experiences. We engage audience members as participants while deepening the lasting impact dance can have on a community.  

Ballaro Dance fulfills this mission through a range of programming, including our ongoing collaboration with Zoran Prodanovic of Ready Steady Cinema; his unique approach to capturing our movement and stories through film enables us to reach more people in more places. Since our first project together in December of 2018 (Happy "five years," Zoran!) our partnership has blossomed as we skillfully hone our craft. In 2024, we plan to INVEST in building and maintaining our virtual community through the ongoing development of sensory-rich dance content including quarterly film premieres, returning to our SEE Ballaro Dance series on YouTube, and creating a major film project together. 

This year we ask YOU to INVEST - not just in the future of Ballaro Dance - but in the future of Dance, with a capital D: Ballaro Dance is paving the way to reimagine what dance is, who can access or participate in it, and how its seen, felt, and experienced. We prioritize Community & Collaboration at the core of what we do.
